Job Summary
Position: Temporary Audit Resolution Underwriter
Location: Remote
Work Model: Fully Remote
Compensation: $45-48/hr plus overtime.
Schedule: Full-time Eastern Standard hours overtime eligible
Overview
This is a temporary remote opportunity supporting post-closing loan reviews and audit resolution work. The assignment is expected to run approximately 4 to 6 weeks and may continue longer based on business needs. This role focuses on reviewing mortgage loan files for compliance identifying audit exceptions and working with internal teams to resolve issues while maintaining file quality and integrity.
An ideal candidate will be able to start immediately and have no planned time off for the next 6-8weeks.

Responsibilities
Conduct post-closing reviews of mortgage loan files
Analyze credit income assets LTV DTI and appraisal documentation
Review FHA VA and potentially USDA loan files
Ensure compliance with investor guidelines and internal QC standards
Recalculate borrower income and review appraisals
Identify and mitigate QC findings
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve audit exceptions
Manage a pipeline and meet deadlines

Qualifications
5 years of Quality Control Underwriting experience
Strong understanding of investor guidelines and QC procedures
Experience reviewing FHA USDA and VA loans
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organization and ability to manage deadlines
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

5 years of Quality Control Underwriting experience
Strong understanding of investor guidelines and QC procedures
Experience reviewing FHA USDA and VA loans
