Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
grade homework and exams for assigned courses andmaintainwritten records of all grades earned by students in consultation with the course instructor;
participate in the consulting of students whennecessaryoutside regular classroom hours;
provide support for lecture setup and demonstrations; edit/add Moodle content as needed
attend all meetings and training sessions scheduled by the faculty member.
proctor for tests including mid-term and finalexams;or scheduled course meeting times in faculty members absence.
Work20hours per week for15weeksduring the semester. Office hours and TAschedulearedeterminedat the beginning of each semester.
Student Interface Responsibilities
Run workshops for students invarious topics/subjects of strength
Assistfaculty liaison for ASID & IIDA in strengthening the student chapters
Provide ongoing academic support for students byway of tutoring mentorshipetc
Provide tutoring services to students in the field of InteriorArchitecture
Administrative/Department Responsibilities
Provide individual walk-in appointments to students during office hours
Design various flyers and other marketing materials fordepartmentrelatedevents such as Capstone
Assisttheprogram assistantwith the planningmarketingand implementation of alldepartmentprogramming:
Maintain department social mediapages;including LinkedIn Facebook and Instagram; updatingfrequentlywith department activities/news.
Admissions related phone calls and emails to prospective students
Additionaladministrative tasks as directed by thedepartment chair
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
