Location: New York NY 10037
Shift: Night Shift (7:30 PM 8:00 AM)
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 34.537.5 hours/week (3 shifts/week 11.512.5 hours per shift)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care including pre-operative and post-operative support while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Perform clinical procedures including wound care IV insertion and catheterization
• Monitor patient conditions and vital signs reporting any changes promptly
• Operate and manage medical equipment as required
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams on treatment and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on care plans procedures and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with standards
• Adhere to all clinical protocols safety guidelines and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute or post-acute setting
• Recent clinical experience within the past 12 months
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with medication administration IV therapy and wound care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and post-operative care
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and patient education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License State of New York
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED
• BLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA (required for select units)
