Shifts: MondayFriday school-day hours

**This position will start August 2026

As a School Support Specialist youll work directly with students families and school staff to address behavioral challenges improve attendance and connect families to essential resources. This position will serve at an East Omaha school.

What Youll Be Doing:

Provide administrative intervention for students with behavioral or attendance issues
De-escalate inappropriate behaviors using approved intervention techniques
Partner with school staff students and families to support student success
Refer families to community and Boys Town resources as needed
Track student progress and maintain case files and data

Who Were Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum age of 18 required
Preferred: Bachelors degree and experience with special needs or behavioral support in school settings

Physical & Safety Requirements:

Mostly sedentary work in a standard school or office environment
Regular use of computers and standard office equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS EQUIPMENT USAGE WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks. Will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop monitor keyboard and a general workstation set-up.
