Job Summary:
To assist audiologist in the performance of student hearing screenings throughout the district. Hearing screening training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist audiologists in conducting hearing screenings and assessments
Set up and operate audiology equipment under supervision
Assist with classroom modifications to meet hearing needs
Work closely with audiologists speech-language pathologists special education teachers and general educators
Sanitize and store audiological equipment properly
Ensure proper hygiene practices with hearing devices
Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
Required Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent

Assist audiologist in the performance of student hearing screenings

Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Frequent interaction with students teachers audiologists and other support staff
Travel to various school sites as assigned to assist in the student hearing screenings
The day can shift from calm observation to active student engagement and equipment troubleshooting
Ability to move between classrooms bend kneel and sit at child-level for extended periods
Occasionally lift or carry equipment (up to 25 lbs)
