We are seeking a driven andproactiveDevelopment Coordinator to join our busy Highways this role youwill ensure contractors and works promoters meet their legal responsibilities helping to coordinate safe compliant and efficientdevelopmentrelated works across Wiltshire. Through regular site inspections youwill verify compliance witha variety of regulations and permit conditionsissuing defect notices documenting findings and recovering costs where needed. Drawing on your expertise in street works civil engineering and traffic management youcanprovide clear practical guidance to developers contractors and the public ensuring works are legally compliant and carried out with the travelling public in mind.
Thisroleis a key interface betweena range of internal and external stakeholdersensuring compliance with the Councils statutory duties under the Traffic Management Act the New Roads and Street Works Act and the Highways Act post holder has a key responsibility to coordinate and minimise disruption caused by these essential road works.
The Network Management Team oversees the councils duties under key traffic and highways legislation ensuring roadworks and network activities cause minimal disruption and help protectWiltshires Highway Network.
If you arewell versed inthe Highways Act 1980and have experience ofproducing technical reports and undertaking data analysis to provide recommendations combined with the proven ability to identify and diagnose complex problems/issuesand communicatingclearlyin challenging situations we would love to hear from you.
