Sr. Solutions Architect, Devices BD

The Strategic Partnerships Team drives technology partnerships across Amazons Devices & Services portfolio including Alexa Fire TV and automotive voice assistant solutions. We sit at the intersection of business strategy and engineering bringing Amazons technology to partners worldwide. Our mission is to turn bold strategic visions into scalable real-world solutions that delight end users across industries and geographies.

We are looking for a Sr. Solutions Architect who can bridge the gap between ambitious business strategy and hands-on technical execution.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in solutions architecture technical pre-sales or software engineering with hands-on coding ability and proven experience designing scalable software architectures. You should be equally comfortable whiteboarding complex system designs with a room full of engineers and presenting business value to executive stakeholders. Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple business units in global organizations is essential along with a demonstrated track record of translating business strategy into concrete technical deliverables and solutions.

We highly value experience with AI and GenAI technologies including large language model (LLM) integration voice AI platforms conversational AI and edge AI solutions. Familiarity with System-on-Chip (SoC) technology and embedded operating systems is a strong plus as is hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda IoT SageMaker and Bedrock. Candidates with a background in the automotive smart home or consumer electronics industries will find strong alignment with this role. Experience developing repeatable solutions toolkits or productized offerings for partner ecosystems is also highly desirable.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will serve as the primary technical voice in partner engagements working with audiences ranging from engineering teams to C-suite executives throughout the entire deal lifecycle. You will design and build reference architectures that integrate Amazons Devices & Services platforms with AWS tailored to each partners unique use cases. You will also lead technical evaluations proof-of-concept builds and whiteboard sessions to demonstrate solution value and accelerate partner adoption.

Beyond solution design you will play a key role in thought leadership delivering technical webinars representing Amazon at public events and contributing to patent filings for emerging product innovations. This is a highly collaborative role: you will work closely with Business Development Product and Engineering teams to shape partner solutions and drive strategic outcomes. Up to 50% travel may be required.

- 10 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 7 years of technology/software sales experience
- Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or PhD
- Ph.D. in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Bachelors degree

- 7 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of Amazon devices and the Amazon ecosystem
