Press Brake Operator

Job Summary

FlexForce Pros is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our prominent metal fabrication shop production team in the greater New Orleans area. This role involves setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal components while meeting quality safety and production standards.

Job Duties

• Set up adjust and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and production orders

• Determine correct bend sequences angles and tolerances

• Measure materials and finished parts using tape measures calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy

• Inspect completed parts for quality and dimensional compliance

• Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently

• Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep machines in proper working condition

• Maintain a clean organized and safety-compliant work area

• Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards

Minimum Requirements:

Education

• High School Education or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Prior experience operating press brakes in a metal fabrication environment

• Ability to read blueprints and understand bend allowances and tolerances

• Experience working with steel aluminum and stainless materials preferred

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in fabrication

• Able to work independently and as part of a production team

• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shop operating hours: 5:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Employees will work 4050 hours per week within this time frame

• ½-hour lunch break at 12:30 PM

• One additional morning break

• Overtime may be required based on production needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend and stoop for extended periods

• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly without assistance

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
