BlackRocksRisk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group provides independent oversight of BlackRocks fiduciary and enterprise risks.RQAsmission isto advance the firms risk management practices and to deliver independent riskexpertiseand constructivechallengeto drive better business and investment outcomes.RQAs risk managers play ameaningfulrole in BlackRocks investment processusing quantitative analysis and a multi-disciplinary skillset totackle real-world problemsandprovide tangible solutions in the investment management process.

What the RQA group at BlackRock has:
A team ofoutstandingrisk managers partnering with portfolio management teams to oversee our clients portfolios
Global colleagueswithsubject matterexpertisein investing macroeconomics financialmodelingand strategy.
What you have:
A degree inaquantitative field e.g.mathematics computer science economicsengineering
An ability to explain complex ideas in simple but impactful termsand proven ability to use effective communication to influence outcomes
Strong analytical skills toidentifyemerging risks summarize issues and explain risk trends
Apassion for applying quantitative techniques to real-world problems andbeing a student of thefinancial markets
Ability to work with large dataset conduct risk analysis and quantitative risk management related research projects
An understanding of the fundamental principles of risk management including risk estimation methodologies stresstestingand attribution
A love of models an understanding oftheirlimitations and a desire to improve them
Enthusiasm and energy combined with a constant desire to challenge the status quo and to drive operational excellence
Proven coding skills in Python etc.
Machine learning and LLM experience and skill is a plus
FRM or CFA designation or other industry certifications (or are working towards one)is a plus
Minimum 2-3 yearsworkingexperience

Our hybrid work model
