SUMMARY
Trinity Classical Academy seeks a versatile and seasonal coach to teach and mentor student athletes for our Varsity Boys Basketball program in the Department of Athletics. Qualified candidates will be models in their lives and abilities for Boys Basketball.

Essential Skills and Abilities
Teach/coach/train and disciple student athletes
Organize and supervise the Varsity Boys Basketball program
Assists the Director of Athletics with scheduling utilization of boys basketball budget and overseeing travel arrangements
Conducts Basketball Clinics for the school
Preforms preseason regular season tournaments and post season activities
Participates in organizing and conducting a summer boys basketball program
Handles inventory maintains all equipment and complies related statistics as required by the department and/or governing bodies (e.g. NFHS CIF)
Trains and evaluates assistant coaches and playing participants.
Serves as a liaison between the schools basketball program and staff administration the general public and local media outlets
Conducts and analyzes scouting reports
Serves as a trainer during practice sessions and away games
Coordinates the programs overall practice schedule
Continues professional development by attending coaching clinics and conferences
Completes additional tasks and takes on other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or Head of School
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff faculty and students of diverse academic cultural and ethnic backgrounds
Demonstrate the ability to establish good and appropriate relationships with Students
Qualifications
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a demonstrated commitment to the philosophies presented at Trinity Classical Academy.
Demonstrates a mature Christian lifestyle by active involvement in a local church
Playing/Coaching experience in the area of competitive basketball
Positive support of the schools policies and practices
Service oriented and able to interface with many people
Truthful positive and purposeful when communicating with others
Flexible and adaptable in dealing with new different or changing requirements
Excellent oral and written command of the English language is required.
Possess excellent organizational skills
Exercise confidentiality good judgement and discernment
Service oriented and able to interface with many people is mandatory
Must successfully pass a background investigation
Working Conditions
Generally works in a group environment; noise level can vary from low to high
Requires standing for long periods of time; will include frequent walking and sitting
Able to make visual and auditory evaluation of students performance
Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for extended period of time repetitious hand and body movements simple grasping fine and gross motor skills. Stand and walk when administering care. Must be able to bend squat kneel push pull and lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to climb one flight of stairs.
Mental Demands: Ability to work well under pressure; ability to maintain a level of professionalism and calm when others are behaving inappropriately;
Use demonstration and supervision of gym equipment
Travel: Travel will be required for basketball games
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 3:15p.m. 5:30p.m. or as needed beyond these hours. Possible Saturdays for games.
