We are looking for a full-time preferably fully qualified accountant to provide a range of financial services for our Maltese entity.

This position will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks with a strong focus on accounts receivable including monitoring outstanding balances issuing and posting invoices following up on overdue accounts reconciling customer accounts allocating receipts and supporting credit control processes.

About the role

• Perform accounts receivable processes including issuing and posting invoices processing receipts and monitoring outstanding balances.

• Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

• Support and actively follow up on credit control processes including overdue collections.

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities.

• Provide support on accounts payable tasks as and when required.

• Assist with the preparation and submission of Maltese VAT returns.

• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements in coordination with local experts.

• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments accruals inventory and fixed asset registers.

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Support audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.

• Maintain intercompany balances by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies if any.

• Ensure consistent accounting treatment in line with the Groups chart of accounts.

• Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports to management.

Skills and Requirements

• Proactive self-motivated and detail-oriented.

• Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to drive change.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Well-organised with a hands-on problem-solving approach.

• Ability to meet internal and statutory deadlines.

• Willingness to travel abroad as required.

• Based in Malta.

Considered an Asset

• Fully qualified accountant.

• Experience in audit.

• Experience in accounts receivable.

• Familiarity with Mac systems.

• Fluency in Maltese and a high level of proficiency in English.

• Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
