Job Summary
Live Chat Support Agent $400$650 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Shift-based morning or afternoon shifts to cover UK and US hours
Salary: $400$650 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent
About the company
Remote World is partnering with a US-based e-commerce platform to hire for this role. They run an online marketplace connecting independent sellers with buyers across North America handling tens of thousands of orders a day great support is what keeps sellers coming back.
The role
Youll handle inbound live chat and email support for buyers and sellers on the platform resolving order issues answering account questions and escalating disputes to the team. Fast friendly and accurate thats what the role is about.
What youll do
- Handle inbound live chat queries from buyers and sellers in real time
- Resolve order issues including refunds missing items and delivery disputes
- Answer account and billing questions accurately and clearly
- Escalate complex cases to specialist teams with a clear summary
- Follow scripts and SOPs while using good judgment when situations are unusual
What youll need
- Clear friendly written English you communicate with confidence
- Fast typist comfortable managing multiple chat conversations at once
- Calm under pressure support queues can get busy and tone matters
- Reliable and punctual youre online for your shift on time
Nice to have
- Previous live chat or e-commerce customer support experience
- Familiarity with Shopify Gorgias or Freshdesk
- Understanding of basic e-commerce order fulfilment workflows
