Job Description:
- We are looking for a meticulous and driven Senior Accountant with 4 to 10 years of core accounting experience to join our finance team.
- The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional capable of managing the full spectrum of general ledger functions ensuring month-end deadlines are met with precision and maintaining robust compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & General Ledger
- Journal Management: Accurate preparation and posting of monthly journal entries including accruals and adjustments.
- Book Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconciliations: Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and detailed General Ledger (GL) reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Schedules: Prepare comprehensive support schedules for the General Ledger specifically focusing on Advance and Prepaid ledgers with full supporting documentation.
Fixed Assets & AP Management
- Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle including capitalization of new assets and accurate calculation of monthly depreciation.
- Accounts Payable: End-to-end processing of vendor invoices ensuring proper approvals coding and timely payments.
Audit & Compliance
- Statutory Audit Support: Act as a key point of contact for auditors; prepare audit schedules pull samples and provide necessary justifications for financial data.
- Taxation: Ensure compliance with Withholding Tax (TDS) and GST regulations including calculation timely filing and reconciliation of tax ledgers.
International Accounting
- Candidate may also be required to support accounting for International locations
Deliverables
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 4 10 years of post-qualification experience in a similar accounting role.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs Pivot Tables and complex formulas are a must).
- Prior experience with NetSuite ERP is highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.
- Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of GST frameworks and withholding tax requirements.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders vendors and auditors.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CA/CPA/Inter-CA candidates preferred).
