Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage Advanced Welding & Production Technology Project. The candidate will be responsible for technical evaluation vendor coordination installation commissioning and client handling for modern welding equipment and training systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

1. Lead end-to-end execution of advanced welding projects.
2. Act as technical head for project planning execution and delivery.
3. Coordinate with internal teams OEMs and clients (ITI/Polytechnic/Govt institutes).
4. Ensure project completion within timelines and specifications.

Technical Expertise (Core Role):

• Strong knowledge of advanced welding technologies:

1. MIG / MAG / TIG Welding
2. Pulse Welding Systems
3. Inverter-based Welding Machines
4. Robotic Welding Systems
5. CNC Welding & Automation
6. VR Welding Simulators (preferred)

• Understand welding parameters applications and training requirements.
• Review and validate technical specifications of tenders and equipment.

Vendor & OEM Coordination:

• Communicate with OEMs.
• Handle technical discussions quotations and product selection.
• Ensure proper documentation like MAF compliance sheets and datasheets.

Installation & Commissioning:

• Supervise installation of welding machines and training setups.
• Ensure proper commissioning testing and demonstration.
• Provide training/demo to institute staff and students.

Tender & Technical Support:

• Analyze tender specifications and prepare technical compliance.
• Suggest suitable models/configurations as per requirements.
• Support bid preparation with technical inputs.

Quality & Documentation:

• Ensure delivered equipment meets specifications and standards.
• Maintain project documentation reports and handover records.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in: Welding industry / fabrication / industrial equipmen OR Training equipment / technical projects

Must-Have Skills:

1. Strong hands-on knowledge of welding machines & processes
2. Ability to independently handle projects
3. Good communication for OEM & client coordination
4. Understanding of government tender systems (preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Skill Development Projects / ITI Labs
• Knowledge of welding standards
• Exposure to robotic/automated welding setups
• Basic electrical understanding of welding machines
