Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Location: Brooklyn NY (On-Site)
Duration: 8 Weeks Contract
Shift:09:00 AM-05:00 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to manage and oversee all aspects of provider credentialing and privileging. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for medical staff and allied health professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational analytical and compliance expertise in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage initial credentialing re-credentialing and privileging processes for healthcare providers
- Perform credential audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Utilize credentialing systems (e.g. MDStaff or similar platforms) to track provider data and background verifications
- Maintain accurate and complete credentialing records and documentation
- Ensure adherence to hospital bylaws corporate policies and accrediting body standards
- Interpret and apply applicable laws regulations and credentialing guidelines
- Collaborate with internal departments and medical staff offices
- Monitor expirations renewals and follow-up requirements for provider credentials
Required Qualifications
- Experience in provider credentialing medical staff services or healthcare administration
- Strong understanding of credentialing processes privileging and compliance standards
- Experience with credentialing software (MDStaff preferred or equivalent systems)
- Proven ability to conduct audits and ensure data accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
