This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for medical staff and allied health professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational analytical and compliance expertise in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage initial credentialing re-credentialing and privileging processes for healthcare providers
Perform credential audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Utilize credentialing systems (e.g. MDStaff or similar platforms) to track provider data and background verifications
Maintain accurate and complete credentialing records and documentation
Ensure adherence to hospital bylaws corporate policies and accrediting body standards
Interpret and apply applicable laws regulations and credentialing guidelines
Collaborate with internal departments and medical staff offices
Monitor expirations renewals and follow-up requirements for provider credentials
Required Qualifications
Experience in provider credentialing medical staff services or healthcare administration
Strong understanding of credentialing processes privileging and compliance standards
Experience with credentialing software (MDStaff preferred or equivalent systems)
Proven ability to conduct audits and ensure data accuracy
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
