The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care across multiple units while demonstrating strong clinical judgment flexibility and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment
Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical psychosocial and educational needs
Monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly
Identify and mitigate safety risks for patients and the care environment
Communicate effectively with healthcare teams using structured handoff methods
Planning and Diagnosis
Develop and prioritize individualized patient care plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
Establish measurable patient goals and initiate discharge planning
Participate in shift reports and care planning discussions
Implementation
Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with established protocols
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes
Respond efficiently to emergency situations
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Evaluation
Continuously evaluate patient progress and update care plans as necessary
Ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices
Required Skills and Experience
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse clinical environment
Commitment to patient safety confidentiality and quality care
Flexibility to float across units as needed
Education and Certifications
Diploma in Nursing (required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Active Ohio RN License or Compact License (required)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
