Job Summary

Electrical Consultants Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering system planning and studies technical consultation project management surveying environmental planning commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.

ECI has an opening for a System Reliability and Compliance Specialist. This role is a unique opportunity for a candidate to support both internal engineering teams and external clients by managing and executing engineering project activities within the System Reliability and Compliance group. This position includes project management reliability and compliance tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to executing engineering projects through project management of schedule budget resources and deliverables across multiple concurrent efforts within reliability and compliance disciplines while ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and applicable regulatory and industry rules. The role is responsible for project lifecycle management including setup execution and closeout as well as coordination with project controls and accounting systems for invoicing cost tracking analysis and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include managing submittals and deliverables leading proposal development definition of project requirements cost estimating and overseeing work activities across North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standards and Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) California ISO (CAISO) and other Independent System Operator/Regional Transmission Organization (ISO/RTO) interconnection and compliance efforts. The position includes ownership of project documentation comment tracking managed services execution for clients and compliance deliverables including Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and gap assessments. Responsibilities also include performing quality control reviews and ensuring alignment with applicable standards and compliance requirements while leading coordination of project meetings and maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external clients.

Remote or remote/hybrid work options will be considered for applicants that have extensive experience in the subject matter.

MinimumRequirements: A four-year college degree from an accredited institution and 10 years direct work experience required. Applicants should be computer literate with proficiency in standard business software including spreadsheets email and document preparation. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational time management and prioritization skills along with the ability to learn complex tasks and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with the ability to learn and utilize additional software tools as needed. The ability to manage multiple projects or issues simultaneously and work both independently and in a team environment is essential. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore the successful applicant will be subject to ECIs auto insurance carrier requirements.
