Churchill Special School part of the Unity Schools Partnership is seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Coordinator to join our vibrant and supportive community. As the school is going through a period of increasing its pupil numbers an opportunity has arisen to work in the pastoral team. We are looking for someone who is solutions-driven proactive and is passionate about SEND pupils. You will be part of the pastoral team supporting students to self-regulate their behaviour and be ready for learning. This job involves working closely with the pupils staff and parents.

We are a special school with a unique environment which caters for 84 pupils aged between 8 and 18.
We had our ungraded Ofsted Inspection in October 2024 and we are very proud to have been judged to have taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection which was in 2019 where the school was graded outstanding. Pupils love our school. Pupils love their school as this is a place where they can be themselves. Pupils build important social skills and make friends. Adults support pupils to celebrate their neurodiversity and recognise the shared similarities they have with others regardless of background. One pupil echoed many others by saying this is a school that any pupil in the world would want to go to (Ofsted 2024).

- A passionate pupil support coordinator who is keen to develop further and will take on board the advice of our behaviour lead
- Experience or a keen interest in working with pupils with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
