Senior Consultant, Financial Risk Management Advisory

Are you an analyticsoriented risk professional with a few years of experience and the capability to contribute from day one Join our Financial Risk Management team in Helsinki and work on handson advisory engagements for our financial services clients in Finland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be part of our Financial Risk Management team providing specialist advisory services to financial services clients. Depending on your experience and interests your responsibilities may include:

• Developing reviewing and supporting validation of models used in financial risk management for banks and insurers including understanding data methods assumptions and limitations
• Contributing to the design and improvement of risk management practices including frameworks policies governance structures and target operating models
• Supporting clients in defining business and data requirements and contributing to data sourcing analytics and architecturerelated workstreams
• Assisting with riskrelated regulatory deliverables and supporting their embedding into governance monitoring and reporting processes

As a Senior Consultant you will contribute to project delivery support junior team members collaborate with internal and client stakeholders and help ensure highquality practical outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications :

• 3 years of relevant experience in consulting or in a quantitative risk function within financial services
• Strong quantitative educational background e.g. Mathematics Statistics Engineering Physics Computer Science Data Science or Economics/Finance with a quantitative focus
• Handson experience with Python and SQL and a structured reproducible approach to analytics (e.g. scripts notebooks version control)
• Foundational understanding of financial risk concepts in financial services and the role of quantitative models in decisionmaking capital and regulatory contexts
• Familiarity with model governance or validation fundamentals (e.g. documentation standards controls findings remediation) or a strong interest in developing these skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Finnish is an advantage but not required

In addition the following are considered beneficial:

• Experience with common risk analytics toolsets and delivery ways of working
• Exposure to modern data tools (e.g. Spark Databricks) and working with larger datasets
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS Azure Google Cloud) in an analytics or risk context
