Job Summary
This position is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day financial operation of the designated properties within the CP Hotels Portfolio to maximise the Portfolio profit.
The primary function is to ensure all company and regulatory deadlines are met for the Portfolio as well as set up the internal audit framework policies & procedures and systems for the CP Hotels Hub and ensure ongoing compliance.
The role also ensures open communication with Portfolio General Manager and Hotel GMs Portfolio Director of Finance and Owners of the CP Hotels Portfolio.

- Ability to translate raw financial data into meaningful strategic information
- Staying up-to-date with ever changing legislation and compliance requirements
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders (audits banks insurance)
- The timely compilation of annual budgets and monthly forecasting ensuring that all Department Heads/Managers have complete and equal input.
- Ability to effectively time manage large volume workload to meet deadlines.
- Mentor and develop a team including Accounts Receivable. Accounts Payable and Assist/Accountant roles.
Qualifications :
Skills & Knowledge
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Finance Commerce.
- CA or CPA qualified or a reasonable equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.
- Previous exposure in a multi hotel finance environment preferred.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of financial accounting principles and procedures including statutory responsibilities.
- Expert in Opera POS and other accounting related systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Office Microsoft Excel or spreadsheet based system Microsoft PowerPoint.

- The proven ability to review finances in detail and then extrapolate key information that is communicated to various stakeholders including our owners.
- Sound analytical skills to make recommendations regarding effective strategic decisions.
- Presentation skills necessary for various level audiences (peers managers departments owners).
- Be conversant with financial statements identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- Strong ability to analyse interpret and communicate complex data.
- Strong relationship building skills to gain support and buy-in from the business on strategy.
- Leadership skills to develop and grow the Finance team.
- An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
