Location: Utica NY 13502
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Assignment Details
- Shift: Night Shift (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
- Floating: Required
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills prior travel experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown unit
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as stroke altered mental status renal failure COPD CHF pneumonia and other general medical-surgical diagnoses
- Utilize clinical equipment including IV pumps NG tubes and feeding tubes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with Stroke Stepdown experience
- Prior travel experience required
- Active RN License (New York)
- AHA BLS Certification (Current)
- NIHSS Certification (required; can be obtained prior to start)
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Completed skills checklist matching specialty
- NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses
