Shift: Day Shift (MondayFriday 7:45 AM 4:30 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $46/hour (Travel)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Certified Ophthalmic Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary eye screening tests for physician review including visual field tests color vision tests tonometry ocular motility tests and pupil assessments
• Obtain and document patient medical history and clinical information
• Manage patient flow and coordinate diagnostic procedures and testing schedules
• Prepare patients for examinations procedures and surgeries
• Explain diagnostic procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding
• Calibrate maintain and clean ophthalmic equipment (slit lamp tonometer keratometer lensometer etc.)
• Stock and prepare exam rooms and ophthalmic supplies
• Assist with minor office procedures laser treatments and surgical support as needed
• Sterilize and prepare instruments for ophthalmic procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare staff
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic procedures preferred
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Ophthalmic Technician Certification (mandatory)
