We are looking for someone to join our IT Team this summer in a fantastic opportunity providing hands-on experience supporting day-to-day IT operations (both front-facing and behind the scenes) in a dynamic robust under the guidance of experienced IT professionals you will assist with providing technical support to staff maintaining IT equipment and contributing to ongoing IT projects that support our programs summer camps and Responsibilities:End-User SupportProvide first-level technical support to staff for common issues such as password resets email and application support printing and basic connectivity problemsRespond to and help triage IT support requestsAssist with onboarding and offboarding of staff including basic account setup and device preparationHardware & Device SupportSetup and deploy laptops desktops tablets and mobile devicesAssist with basic troubleshooting of hardware and peripherals Prepare shared and loaner devices used for summer camps programs and eventsAssist with the decommissioning of outdated hardwareSoftware & Systems AssistanceAssist with installation and updating of standard software applicationsProvide basic support for Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook Teams OneDrive SharePoint)Help create or update simple user guides and Operations & ProjectsSupport ongoing IT projects such as system upgrades data cleanup and seasonal program preparationAssist with meeting room and audiovisual setup including video conferencing You Bring:Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a postsecondary program in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)Basic knowledge of computers operating systems and common software applicationsComfortable using Windows macOS iOS and AndroidStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learnGood communication and customer-service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable organized and detailorientedCompensation Highlights:Full-time opportunity (35hrs/week) May through August$18.45 per hourFree or discounted admission to other attractions outside Sudbury Science North facilities and program discounts fitness membership contribution on-site parking on-site gymEmployee Referral ProgramHands-on experience supporting a real-world IT environmentExposure to enterprise IT systems and best practicesOpportunity to work alongside an experienced IT teamDevelopment of practical troubleshooting communication and documentation skillsThis opportunity is not suitable for remote or hybrid workThe successful candidate must be able and available to report to 100 Ramsey Lake meet every single requirementAt Science North we are dedicated to building a diverse inclusive and authentic workplace so if youre excited about this role but your past experience doesnt align perfectly with every qualification in the job description we encourage you to apply anyways.
