Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Medora IN for a 2nd shift position (2:00 PM 12:00 AM). This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong experience in heavy truck repair diesel engine diagnostics and fleet maintenance.
Pay & Schedule
- Location: Medora IN (Onsite)
- Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM 12:00 AM)
- Pay: $25$28/hr $2.00 shift differential
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on fleet vehicles
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines brakes electrical air and fluid systems
- Interpret repair manuals wiring diagrams and schematics for troubleshooting
- Complete repairs based on DVIRs and maintenance schedules
- Maintain accurate work orders service logs and parts documentation
- Perform road tests and roadside repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Strong experience with heavy trucks and diesel engine systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Must have own mechanic tools
- Must obtain DOT medical certification before starting
- Ability to complete accurate documentation (digital and paper)
- Strong knowledge of shop safety practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
