Job Summary
Responsibilities / Tasks
Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch & streaming) with a focus on time-series data from heating refrigeration and process equipment
Develop and operationalize advanced analytics workflows by integrating data from multiple industrial and enterprise sources
Work closely with Data Analysts and Digital Product teams to enable data-driven product features and insights
Contribute to and enhance the GEA Cloud Analytics Platform in collaboration with the Digital Hub
Ensure high data quality reliability and performance across pipelines and platforms
Apply modern software engineering practices (version control CI/CD code reviews)
Actively participate in the Data Engineering / Data Science Guild to drive knowledge sharing and standardization
Build reusable modular and efficient data solutions using state-of-the-art tools
Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
25 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
Strong experience in building robust and scalable data pipelines
Hands-on experience with Spark / Databricks or similar big data frameworks
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience handling time-series data industrial IoT or real-time analytics (highly preferred)
Understanding of data modeling ETL/ELT processes and data architecture
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development
Strong communication skills with fluency in English
