Responsibilities for the Director of Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for assigned territories to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Lead coach and manage a team of sales professionals ensuring alignment with company goals and performance expectations
  • Establish accurate sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement through performance management and metrics tracking
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on long-term partnership and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate functions and distribution or operational groups to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify and implement programs tools and processes to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency
  • Analyze market trends competitive landscape and customer needs to inform strategy
  • Ensure consistent execution of company initiatives and sales processes across the sales team

Requirements for the Director of Sales and Business Development:

  • Bachelors degree in business prefer MBA
  • Extensive experience in sales leadership with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Industry experience in distribution or related sectors preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • Excellent communication analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience working with or competing against major industry players
  • Background managing a large group of territory managers.
