About the role
Merribek City Council is seeking an experienced Senior System Accountant to join our Elevate Transformation Program and support the delivery of a major Councilwide digital transformation.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your finance system expertise in a highimpact role that will shape how Council delivers services to the community.
The Senior System Accountant provides specialist expertise in the TechnologyOne OneCouncil ERP platform supporting the design configuration testing and implementation of Councils enterprise finance system as part of the Elevate Transformation Program.
Working closely with finance teams service areas and the program team this role ensures finance processes controls and reporting requirements are accurately embedded in the system and successfully transitioned into businessasusual operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on finance processes and TechnologyOne system requirements to inform system design and configuration
- Translate current and futurestate finance processes into effective system solutions
- Ensure statutory compliance and internal control requirements are embedded in the finance system
- Act as a key liaison between finance stakeholders service areas vendors and the transformation program
- Lead and participate in system testing validation and quality assurance activities
- Support cutover planning golive readiness and postimplementation activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes using system capabilities
- Document finance processes system configurations and controls
- Support knowledge transfer and capability building across finance teams
