Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring safe reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems at the Powder Coatings plant. Lead and support projects related to plant electrical infrastructure and drive continuous improvement initiatives in compliance with AkzoNobel standards and statutory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure uptime and reliability of all electrical equipment and systems across the Powder Coatings site.
- Execute and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to avoid production downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations and AkzoNobel internal safety policies.
- Support new installations and modifications to existing electrical systems with appropriate documentation and safety assessments.
- Ensure timely inspections testing and calibration of electrical systems as per statutory and company requirements.
- Maintain and update electrical drawings panel schedules and equipment documentation.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and project execution.
- Lead/participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support energy efficiency projects and monitor energy consumption across the site.
- Participate in HSE activities including audits risk assessments (RA) and permit-to-work (PTW) compliance.
- Ensure implementation of MOC (Management of Change) procedures for electrical modifications.
- Provide training to technicians and operators on electrical safety and basic maintenance practices.
Education
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setup
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems PLCs drives motors and transformers
- Working knowledge of Indian Electrical Standards and statutory requirements
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Proficient in using electrical design software and maintenance systems
- Good interpersonal and team coordination skills
