Finance & Accounts Officer $1500$2500 USD/month Fully Remote

Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible at least 3 hours overlap with WAT business hours
Salary: $1500$2500 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent

About the company

Remote World is partnering with a UK-based fintech and financial services company to hire for this role. They serve thousands of SME clients with payments lending and savings products and need a finance officer to keep the numbers accurate.

The role

Youll handle day-to-day finance operations transaction reconciliation invoice processing expense management and supporting month-end close. Youll work closely with the Head of Finance and be the person who makes sure nothing slips.

What youll do

• Reconcile daily transactions and bank accounts
• Process invoices expense claims and payments
• Support month-end close journals accruals and balance sheet schedules
• Prepare financial summaries and management reports
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed

What youll need

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial modelling
• Organised accurate and deadline-driven
• Clear communicator able to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues

Nice to have

• Degree in accounting finance or economics
• ICAN ACCA or studying towards either
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Sage or Xero)
