Job Summary

Your mission:

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the worlds first platform to offer true multi-currency banking.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Sanctions Service Delivery to Lead our growing Operations Team.

Heres how youll be contributing to the team

  • Lead 5 Senior Operations Managers and 500 Sanctions Agents globally
  • Coach develop and performance manage the team to drive a high performance culture

  • Hiring new staff as you build out your team

  • Own demand and capacity planning for your team ensuring we have enough staff to support our customers

  • Manage service delivery ensuring your finger is always on the pulse with all queues and customers are not left waiting for responses

  • Maintain strong relationships with Compliance ensuring we have the right structure and processes in place for effective oversight 

  • Own the plan to develop Sanctions Operations team capabilities strategic placement of staff across teams skills and capacity over 12 months including skills mapping and training plans leading significant cross-team projects requiring material decisions and content contribution as well as project management

  • Proactively monitor process controls to ensure consistent performance ensuring any irregularity is investigated.

  • Maintain strong relationships with Product Analytics Engineering and Compliance

  • Become a subject matter expert for processes and tooling

 


Qualifications :

About you

  • 5-8  years experience leading teams within Sanctions

  • Great communicator both verbal and written

  • Experience setting targets and holding your team accountable to them

  • You have a proven track record of taking individual ownership and responsibilities as well as being a great team-player

  • You have good understanding and ability to analyse forecast and move of teams metrics

  • You can work collaboratively within a complex organisation across multiple cultures geographies and disciplines

  • You have project management and organisational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time

  • Youre able to travel as needed.

 

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

  • Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) certification or similar

  • Additional language skills in one or more jurisdictions in which Wise has operations.
