Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented DOT Qualifications Processor to support driver onboarding and ongoing compliance efforts. This role is responsible for ensuring all commercial drivers meet federal regulatory requirements set by theU.S. Department of Transportation(DOT)and theFederal Motor Carrier Safety Administration(FMCSA).
This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate Driver Qualification (DQ) files supporting audits and ensuring drivers remain compliant throughout their employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review audit and maintainDriver Qualification (DQ) filesin accordance with DOT regulations
- VerifyCommercial Drivers Licenses (CDL) endorsements and driving eligibility
- Obtain and reviewMotor Vehicle Records (MVRs)
- Coordinatedrug and alcohol testing programs including pre-employment random and post-accident testing
- Track and validateDOT medical certifications and physical exams
- Conductemployment and safety history verificationswith previous employers
- Monitor compliance timelines and proactively manage document expirations
- Assist withDOT audits compliance reviews and reporting
- Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure efficient onboarding of drivers
Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in DOT compliance driver qualification or transportation administration
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Experience managing DQ files and compliance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with compliance platforms such as Tenstreet SambaSafety Foley or similar systems is preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting DOT audits or safety programs
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify compliance risks
