Our Client is a leading Government/Military organization seeking to expand its portfolio across U.S. government agencies.
Position Summary
Drive strategic growth by identifying qualifying and capturing federal contracting opportunities that expand the organizations portfolio across U.S. government agencies.
Primary Functions
- Lead business development and capture efforts across the full federal procurement lifecyclefrom opportunity identification through contract award
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned with organizational capabilities
- Develop and execute winning strategies for competitive opportunities
- Foster strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners
- Support proposal development by contributing to solutioning pricing strategies and competitive positioning
- Monitor market trends competitors and regulatory changes to inform growth strategy
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting within CRM systems
Must-Haves
- Bachelors degree in Business Government or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5 years of business development capture or sales experience in federal contracting
- Demonstrated success winning federal contracts (prime and/or subcontract)
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition processes
- Hands-on experience with contract vehicles (GWACs IDIQs BPAs GSA Schedules)
- Established network within federal agencies and/or government contractors
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IT cybersecurity Special Operations linguistics intelligence engineering logistics or related defense/government sectors
- Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
- Proficiency with federal procurement tools (GovWin FPDS USAspending)
- Capture management and/or proposal development experience
- Masters degree or relevant certifications (APMP or equivalent)
