We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role you will:
- Design develop and maintain robust scalable and reusable test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Create execute and manage automated test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Collaborate with developers product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies. Identify document and track software defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not impacted by new changes. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.
- Evaluate and recommend tools technologies and processes to improve the testing process. Ensure test coverage by implementing integration functional and performance tests.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. Analyse test results generate reports and provide insights to improve product quality.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques. Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure happy and unhappy paths are fully considered and automatically tested for the components under his/her responsibility.
- Use GitHub Copilot for test automation coding as well as adopt AI solutions as part of test automation/integration
- Have an agile mindset for innovation and adoption of cutting-edge specialist technologies and practices with the domain and across HSBC
To be successful you will:
- Currently be a hands-on automation testing lead and possess experience of Design develop and maintain robust scalable and reusable test automation frameworks and scripts
- Expertise in test automation frameworks like Selenium TestNG JUnit or Cucumber. Familiarity with SQL for database testing and validation.
- Experience with Spring Boot for understanding and testing backend services. Familiarity with Maven for build and dependency management
- Experience with public cloud providers like GCP or Azure. Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman RestAssured or similar.
- Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CI/CD or similar.
- Understanding of security testing practices and tools to identify vulnerabilities. Are passionate about technology and look for opportunities to learn & bring new ideas to the team.
- Able to use Copilot to deliver with speed as well as apply HSBC approved AI solutions to increase productivity. Excellent knowledge of their technical environment. Forward thinking making the right decisions based on strategy
- Strong communication skills to report issues provide feedback and document test results. Can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset. Self-starter
