Position: Agriculture Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $72$80/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on agricultural sciences problems.
- Produce original problem sets grounded in crop figures soil profiles yield charts and field imagery.
- Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and performance.
- Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in Agricultural Sciences or related field or MS with 3 years applied research extension or industry experience or BS with 5 years applied farming extension or agribusiness experience.
- Working fluency in at least two of: agronomy soil science animal science agricultural economics plant pathology.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting crop figures soil profiles yield charts and field imagery.
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
