Job Description – Field Financial Manager
Job Purpose Summary
The Financial Manager is responsible for:
- Providing financial reports and interpreting the financial status of the field office including recommendations.
- Analyzing daily financial activities and advising subordinates on future financial plans.
- Recommending strategic financial plans to maintain stable and effective asset and cash management.
- Supporting stakeholders in making sound financial decisions to achieve company's objectives efficiently and effectively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare estimated budgets aligned with strategic objectives in coordination with the Field Office Manager.
- Monitor annual plans and budgets and submit periodic progress reports.
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with approved financial systems and procedures accounting standards and host country regulations.
- Prepare financial statements final accounts and annual financial closing and oversee all accounting and financial activities.
- Analyze costs contributions operational results and actual performance against work plans.
- Review required administrative and financial reports and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for headquarters and donors.
- Supervise financial operations establish financial frameworks and ensure compliance of all transactions with policies and regulations.
- Ensure implementation of headquarters’ financial decisions and review accounts accordingly.
- Apply effective financial control systems.
- Approve closing inventory adjustment entries and submit them for final approval to headquarters finance.
- Prepare audit files for internal and external auditors and ensure availability of financial documents.
- Prepare annual financial statements in coordination with the external auditor.
- Safeguard office assets investments and projects through financial controls.
- Manage office cash operations asset inventory and registration.
- Review insurance coverage for assets and properties against risks such as fire theft and accidents.
- Supervise accounting staff at the field office.
Other Duties
- Membership in procurement committees.
- Approve petty cash settlements.
- Approve balances of payables and receivables.
- Approve project balances guarantees obligations surpluses or deficits and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by the direct manager within the scope of the job.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or Financial Management.
- Professional Certifications: ACCA CFA CMA CPA.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in accounting roles.
- Skills: Strategic thinking strong accounting knowledge budgeting expertise Arabic and English language skills interpersonal skills Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge: Financial sector experience budgeting accounting entries year-end closings ERP systems.
- Abilities: Strong communication and leadership skills financial analysis capability legal compliance awareness accountability efficiency and problem-solving skills.
