Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Support Technician to provide onsite and remote IT support to end users across multiple locations. The role involves troubleshooting hardware software network and application issues ensuring seamless IT operations and delivering excellent customer service. The position requires regular travel; therefore a valid driver's license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for desktops laptops mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware software operating system network and application-related issues.
  • Install configure and maintain Windows/macOS operating systems and business applications.
  • Support printers scanners video conferencing systems and other office IT equipment.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLA timelines.
  • Document issues resolutions and support activities in the ticketing system.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding including device setup and retrieval.
  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs replacements and warranty claims.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and operational procedures.
  • Provide VIP/end-user support when required.
  • Travel to multiple locations to perform support activities.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Support End User Computing or IT Service Management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in End User Support or Field Support roles.
  • Experience supporting executive and VIP users.
  • Experience working in large-scale or multi-site environments is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of End User Computing and IT Service Management.
  • Experience supporting desktops laptops mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid Qatar Driving License.
  • Willingness to travel to various work locations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
