Job Summary

Job Title: Registered Nurse PACU
Location: Santa Rosa CA
Type: Travel/Local Contract
Shift: Day Shift 09:00 AM 09:00 PM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours
Hours: 36 hrs/week
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
The PACU RN provides high-acuity post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities:
Monitor patients in Phase I and Phase II recovery
Manage airway ventilation and hemodynamic stability
Administer medications and manage pain control
Identify and respond to post-anesthesia complications
Collaborate with surgical and interdisciplinary teams
Provide patient and family education
Document care in compliance with hospital standards
Assist with pre- and post-procedure care

Qualifications:
Active California RN License Required
Minimum 2 years inpatient PACU experience Required
BLS ACLS and PALS Required
Strong critical care and post-anesthesia recovery skills
Ability to work in high-acuity fast-paced environment
Experience with ventilated patients and arterial lines preferred
Travel experience preferred (first-time travelers not accepted)
