Aspen Careers is partnering with a respected mid-sized Columbus-based law firm to hire a Probate Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative team supporting a busy and expanding probate administration practice.
Job Title: Probate Paralegal
Location: Worthington (Columbus area) primarily in-office with flexibility in scheduling

What Youll Do:
- Manage and support 5060 probate administration cases
- Prepare and file probate documents inventories and accountings
- Complete Medicaid applications from start to finish
- Prepare 709 gift tax returns 1041 fiduciary income tax returns and occasional federal estate tax returns
- Maintain case files deadlines and documentation
- Communicate with clients courts and government agencies
- Collaborate across the estate planning team to support broader practice needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in probate administration
- Hands-on experience with Medicaid applications
- Experience or knowledge of tax return preparation (estate tax)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Team-oriented with flexibility to assist beyond core responsibilities
- Estate planning experience is a plus
