Job Summary
The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction improving student achievement and implementing rigorous standards aligned teaching practices.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling co-teaching classroom support and feedback
- Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
- Assist teachers with reading comprehension writing instruction vocabulary and literacy strategies
- Analyze studentassessment data to guide instructional improvement
- Facilitate professional development PLCs common planning and data meetings
- Support tutoring intervention acceleration and graduation readiness programs
- Assist teachers with pacing lesson planning and differentiation strategies
- Promote student engagment and achivement in literacy
