Job Summary
Description
Responsibilities:
- Driving stock to and from customers within the city.
- Dealing with customers.
- Complete a proper pre-trip inspection prior to leaving on any journey
- Complete and submit all required paperwork (i.e. logbooks pre/post-trip inspections truck inspections).
- Assisting with loading in warehouse.
- Follow and comply with all established rules and policies (safety production etc.)
- Follows all Federal regulations per Department of Transportation standards
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 AQ CDL (Commercial Drivers License) w/ clean drivers abstract.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with driving required.
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stack steel drums 3 high.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Capable of working in extreme working conditions (outdoors weather terrain).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on feet up to 8 hours per shift
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
- Ability to stoop kneel bend and climb
Note: This position will become a union role after 3 months of continuous employment.
