Job Summary
Tara Performing Arts High School in Boulder CO is seeking a part time Business Manager to manage and oversee all financial functions at a small but busy high school with complex budgeting and accounting. The Business Manager works in cooperation with a Financial Assistant / Bookkeeper as well as our Board of Trustees Finance Committee and Leadership Council. Accounting knowledge experience with Colorado non-profit businesses and/or independent schools and proficiency with Excel and Quickbooks are all required. Duties include preparing and tracking the annual budget creating and presenting projections based on variable input managing ongoing cash flow analysis tracking receivables overseeing the financial assistant/bookkeeper reporting to the Board of Trustees working in concert with the Development Team to provide ongoing current information about fundraising goals and needs monitoring enrollment and preparing tuition contracts and managing components of HR responsibilities such as coordinating employee benefits and working with the Administrator and Leadership Council to create faculty and staff letters of agreement. Attendance at periodic Finance Committee and Board meetings is required. The ideal candidate is familiar with Waldorf education dedicated to supporting Taras transformational education of young people deeply interested in the arts and capable of leading while also gathering and receiving input from multiple sources in order to help further the vision and mission of Tara.
We anticipate that this position requires an average of 20 hours per week with regular office hours on campus. Salary is dependent on experience.
