This is a stipend position.
Summary:
The Watertown Public Schools athletic department is seeking a Business and Equipment Manager for the2026-2027 school year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee organize and complete athletics payroll promptly.
- Hire staff for athletic events.
- Attend athletic competitions and events.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the safety of athletic events.
- Manages and oversees all athletics equipment.
- Determines needs and generates purchase orders to acquire athletic and sports equipment.
- Establishes maintains and reconciles uniform and equipment inventories and oversees the maintenance of all inventory records for the program.
- Ensures that all uniforms related apparel and equipment are clean and serviceable.
- Oversees and coordinates the work of athletic equipment staff and students engaged in the day-to-day performance of related activities.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Moderate Physical Activity.
- Strong organizing and coordinating skills.
- Ability to lead train and functionally supervise staff and student employees.
- Knowledge of ordering supplies equipment and services and inventory control.
- Knowledge of athletic mechanical and electronic equipment supplies and uniform repair.
- Records maintenance skills.
- Have organizing and coordinating skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- The work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks requiring basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke unpleasant odors and loud noises.
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
