Position:Assistant Golf Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Salary range: $3365$3974 Stipend

Time Commitment:

• Five days a week
• Fifteen to twenty hours a week
• Three matches a week
• Season Length- 8/24/2026 - 11/8/2026

This is a stipend position.

SUMMARY:

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding assistant coach to coach the golf team for the 2024-2025 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence equity and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach the team they are assigned to.
• Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.
• Assist in coaching at practice and games.
• Implement practice plans.
• Oversee scouting of opposition.
• Be a liaison between the captains and the head coach.
• Coordinate with the athletic office on rostering awards and medical issues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• CPR certified.
• NFHS concussion course

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
• Experience coaching golf
• Strong communication skills
