Job Summary
Assist in the development promotion and supervision of all facets of the Iona Universitys Womens Lacrosse program. Assist the head coach in overseeing the academic excellence of all student-athletes that are involved with the program. Assist with fundraising efforts community service projects program logistics and recruiting quality student-athletes for the future of the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach in planning preparing and executing practice and competition plans strategies and alternatives which are designed to bring success to the program.
Will be in constant communication with student-athletes to provide guidance and assistance in their success both on and off the field of play.
Assist the head coach in recruiting quality student-athletes capable of pursuing the baccalaureate degree in accordance with the rules and regulations of the governing bodies and in such a manner that reflects the best interests of the program and the University
. Will be in consistent communication with strength coaches athletic trainers academic advisors and other support staff to ensure athletes are prepared to perform at their best and to the standards set forth by the mens lacrosse program.
Assist the head coach in all fundraising activities for the program. Helping with camps clinics and other lacrosse related events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required from a recognized college or university.
Successful collegiate lacrosse playing experience and/or minimum 1 years of lacrosse coaching experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Competence in leadership and decision making
. Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong initiative detail and follow up skills with students athletes and staff members
Demonstrates professional image on and off the field.
Skills mentoring athletes
