Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with strong knowledge of government procurement processes specifically within the State of Illinois. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Illinois BidBuy system and a proven track record supporting procurement activities for public sector agencies.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who understands compliance solicitation processes vendor coordination and contract lifecycle management within a government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities in compliance with State of Illinois policies and procedures
- Utilize the Illinois BidBuy system for creating posting and managing solicitations
- Prepare and process RFPs RFQs IFBs and other procurement documents
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop procurement strategies
- Evaluate vendor responses and assist in bid analysis and award recommendations
- Ensure compliance with state procurement regulations policies and audit requirements
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
- Support contract execution amendments and vendor performance tracking
- Act as a liaison between vendors and agency stakeholders
