Job Summary
Fintech Operations Analyst $500$750 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible at least 4 hours overlap with WAT (09:0017:00 WAT)
Salary: $500$750 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent

About the company
Remote World is partnering with a fast-growing Nigerian payments startup to hire for this role. They process millions in transactions monthly for SMEs across West Africa and are scaling their operations team.
The role
Youll support day-to-day payments operations monitoring transaction queues resolving settlement exceptions and liaising with partner your first six months youll own a key part of the reconciliation workflow and help document processes for the team.
What youll do
- Monitor transaction queues and flag anomalies for resolution
- Reconcile daily settlement reports against bank statements
- Liaise with partner banks and payment processors on exceptions
- Maintain clear records and update SOPs as processes evolve
- Support onboarding documentation for new payment corridors
What youll need
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Strong attention to detail and methodical working style
- Good written English for internal reports and bank communications
- Able to work independently and flag issues proactively
Nice to have
- Background in finance accounting or economics
- Familiarity with payment systems or fintech operations
- Experience with any reconciliation or ERP tool
