Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of forensic investigation experts to conduct comprehensive investigations into financial fraud corruption embezzlement and cybercrime.
- Develop and implement effective fraud prevention strategies including data mining intelligence gathering and fraud awareness campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies while conducting investigations maintaining independence and objectivity.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies prosecution authorities and senior management to ensure thorough and timely investigations.
- Oversee and report forensic investigation outcomes to the Head of Internal Audit and the companys Ethics Committee ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Establish and manage a case management system for efficient oversight and reporting of forensic investigations.
- Identify and address control deficiencies identified during investigations to mitigate risks and uphold ethical standards.
- Maintain high standards for investigation reports to support internal disciplinary hearings and court proceedings.
- Manage functional excellence initiatives by standardizing and optimizing processes and promoting the sharing of best practices.
- Ensure adherence to Group governance policies and statutory compliance fostering a culture of discipline and integrity.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Honors) in a relevant field (Essential/Minimum)
- 10 years of demonstrable experience in forensic investigations and audit with a proven track record of managing complex investigations in a corporate environment
- Experience in the mining industry is preferred
- At least 5 years in a managerial position
- Strong operational exposure to fraud prevention and detection
- Exceptional knowledge of forensic accounting techniques investigative methodologies and criminal procedures
- Membership with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (Essential/Minimum)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Management Development Programme (Desirable/Recommended)
