Hold a current Alabama License for Associate Degree in nursing (ADN) Bachelors Degree in nursing (BSN) or Practical Nursing (LPN).
Clinical nursing experience with school age children in the hospital community health or pediatric clinic desired.
Clinical nursing skills necessary to provide safe care to students with special health care needs.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with administration nursing supervisor faculty parents and students.
Ability to demonstrate complete accurate and timely documentation of health services rendered.
Possess current CPR certification.

Job Goal: Provision of school health services to students and serve as a liaison between the school the medical community and other agencies involved in the health and welfare of students.
Terms of Employment: Nine month contract (187 days).
Additional Information:Provide direct care to students within the school. Job responsibilites include care management and coordination of care with other departments. Must have strong clinical and assessment skills. Pediatric experience preferred and a minimum of 3 years nursing experience in a high actuity area.
