Job Summary
A well-regarded construction group based in Johannesburg is looking for an ambitious and capable Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional in the early-to-mid stage of their career who is ready to step up take ownership and make a real impact across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree or diploma in construction management quantity surveying civil or building science or equivalent practical experience
- Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience in the construction industry with demonstrable project and team management exposure
- Proven experience managing professional consultant teams as well as construction and site teams
- Working knowledge of the JBCC contract suite and subcontractor appointment contracts and the ability to administer them confidently
- Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects from inception through to close-out
- Lead and coordinate professional consultant teams including architects engineers and quantity surveyors
- Oversee and direct construction teams and subcontractors on site to ensure programme and quality targets are met
