The Director of Business Development is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives driving revenue and expanding Abode Care Partners presence across senior living communities skilled nursing facilities and continuing care retirement communities. This role oversees a team of Account Executives working closely with executive leadership to implement enterprise-level sales strategies develop high-value partnerships and ensure consistent execution of Abodes value-based care model.
The current territory of this role encompasses the following southern United States markets (with plans to expand):
Florida - Jacksonville Central Panhandle South Florida
Texas/South Central - TX AR LA MS (DFW East TX Gulf Coast)
GA NC - Atlanta Carolinas
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales the Director plays a critical role in shaping the organizations market strategy mentoring leaders and delivering measurable business results.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth Oversight
Lead the development and execution of area- and enterprise-wide business development strategies to achieve revenue and census goals
Oversee the performance of the account executive team providing coaching mentoring and accountability
Analyze market data competitor activity and trends to inform strategic planning and identify new business opportunities
Partner with executive leadership to align business development strategies with organizational goals and budget objectives
Support enterprise-level contract negotiations high-value partnerships and strategic initiatives
Sales Execution & Territory Management
Directly influence and support major business development efforts across assigned regions
Guide teams in developing territory plans targeting high-potential prospects DeNovo initiatives and executing go-to-market strategies
Ensure consistent adoption of CRM and reporting practices (Salesforce) to monitor sales pipeline and performance metrics
Monitor performance against monthly quarterly and annual goals and implement corrective actions as needed
Relationship Development & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with senior leaders referral sources payers and key community partners
Ensure teams deliver high-quality presentations and proposals tailored to the needs of each client
Represent Abode Care Partners at industry conferences trade shows and professional forums
Collaborate with internal clinical operations and pharmacy teams to optimize onboarding client satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Operational Excellence & Team Development
Recruit hire and develop high-performing business development leaders and teams
Establish consistent sales processes training programs and performance standards
Monitor regional metrics proactively and implement strategies to drive improvement and growth
Contribute to budgeting forecasting and strategic planning for assigned regions
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
7 years of progressive healthcare sales or business development experience including senior living and skilled nursing preferred
Proven success leading multi-region teams and implementing strategic growth initiatives
Experience in strategic partnerships contract negotiation and enterprise-level client management
Valid drivers license; travel as required
Strong executive leadership strategic planning and decision-making skills
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data
Exceptional communication negotiation and presentation skills for C-suite and stakeholder engagement
Proficiency with MS Office Suite Salesforce Hubspot or other CRM platforms
Relationship-building expertise and professional network across target client sectors
High professionalism integrity and empathy for older adult populations
